Audi Repair: misfires and brakes?, oil filler cap, wiring loom

Question
Hi, I have a 2002 A4 quattro sport 3.0. It has had problems with misfires. Coil packs have been changed, so has the ignition wiring loom, as the coil pack connectors were cracked. This has improved it considerably, but still there are occasional random misfires. Not enough to trip the warning light, but I can watch the counters on all cylinders vagcom go up, and you can feel the car twitch at idle as the misfires happen. I am wondering if this is a vacuum fault? If I open the oil filler cap, it creates the same symptoms.
Also, when I am driving hard, the red BRAKE can come on for just a few seconds. I can't believe I emptied the resevoir. Is this a related vacuum fault?
Please let me know any thoughts that could help me!
Regards
Andrew

Answer
hello
Misfire - I do not think there is a vacuum leak. We have seen newer ones misfire so bad that you can not drive it.
What we did was run Hi press. fuel injector cleaner , the one which goes instead of the gas. This helped. We has S4 with misfire so bad that friend of mine was ready to take the head of , because every body thought there has to be a bad valve. Fuel injector servis fixed the car . So , I will try to run this first and see. The stuff that you can put into gas does not help  it has to be the one which use compress air to push the fluid into the cylinders.
Red brake light is for brake fluid level, check your fluid, sometimes it comes ON on fast stops or turns.
Good luck              Greg
