The headlamps on my 1978 Cadillac Coupe Deville will not turn on. The parking lights come on, but not the headlamps. this is the second time this has happened and I unknowingly fixed them that time. The lights then started turning on and off automatically when the car was started or stopped. Thank you for your help.

I am not really understanding the question. Do the headlights work when driving, since you are saying start and stop. Does this car have twighlite setinal where the head lights go automatically on and there is a dial located at the headlight switch?

I worked on these all the time, but it has been 25years since I actively worked on them. 79 was the last year of that body and interior and then they changed in 80. Can you send me a photo of the head light switch to possibly jug my memory?
