How do I change brakes on the front tires ? I need all info availible. What tools ? Step by step if possible. My car is a 1990Sedan Deville and the front tires keeps jumping also.

Hi,Damon
The front brake pads are replaced by removing the wheels, use a screwdriver and insert it between the inside pad and the rotor, pry back the brake pad a little then use a ratchet with a 3/8 allen type head and remove the 2 caliper hold down pins, they are on the backside of the caliper, you can buy that tool at any auto parts store or sears they make one special for that, after you remove the caliper then use a c-clamp to push the piston back ing the caliper, replace with new brake pads,i suggest removing the brake rotors and have them machined, you can have them machined at an auto parts store that has the machine.then just install the new pads in the caliper and bolt back up,the ft tire jumping i assume you mean when you apply the brakes, this is called brake pedal pulsation and is caused by the brake rotors being out of round, you can fix this by having the brake rotors turned or machined.also purchase a repair manual, they are cheap in price and will give you pictures and an idea on how to replace the brake pads.Thank you

Answer
Damon,

No you dont really have to have the rotors machined,as long as there are not any deep grooves worn into the rotor, however you have the brake pedal pulsation, the only way to elliminate that is to machined the rotors,if you can live with the pulsation then hold off on machining the rotors.
