horn doesnt work checked fuses, and used volt meter at horn to see if power was there, nothing  had a person tell me it was in the sterring wheel
when security went off lights flashed ho horn . can you help?

Hi Oren, Since the horns didn't play with the security system going off it might be a bad horn relay. By removeing the relay and useing a wireing diagram you can test the horn pad and play the horns. Then you will know what part of the system is at fault. Cadillac in the past has had problems with the horn pad/SIR steering wheel air bag not allowing the horns to play but they would still sound off when the security system engaged so it still points to the relay. (Bill i changed relay no help)

Hi Oren, So now the fun begins. You will need to test for power on 2 terminals, ground when the horn pad is pushed and if you jumper power to the horn wire the horn should play. What doesn't work will determine what needs to be fixed. There are bulletins that deal with the air bag in the steering wheel as being a problem so if you don't get a ground when the horn pad is pushed then I would suggest taking it to the shop and have someone repair that part of it because serious injury can result if propper steps aren't taken to disable the SIR system before disassembly. Also some special tools might be needed depending upon how deep into the column you need to go. Bill
