Chevrolet Repair: 2008 Malibu, 2008 malibu, hi ed

Tom, the engine light recently came on in my 2008 Malibu. I hooked up a diagnostic tool and got the code: P0013. The car doesn't sound any different. Is this something that needs looking into immediately? If so, is it likely an expensive repair situation? If it's simple, I'd consider doing the repair myself. Any tips are appreciated.

HI ED, WELL FIRST OFF MY CODE CHART STARTS OUT AT POO16 ,THERE ARE NO PO013 CODES IN SYSTEM. SO THIS MEANS THAT YOU ARE READING THE PCM WITH A GENERIC CODE READER. YOU HAVE TO GET A GM SCAN TOOL OR A CODE READER THAT HAS GM SOFT WEAR OR UPDATED SOFTWARE. MANY PEOPLE ARE RUNNING INTO THIS ISSUE..THIS WILL SEND YOU DOWN THE WRONG PATH...IF YOU GET THE CORRECT CODE GET BACK TO ME ON THIS.LIKE TO HELP U.
