Chevrolet Repair: 86 chevy 4wd, clutch pressure plate, frame mounts


Question
I have an 86 chevy 4wd custom deluxe 10 with a 4.3 v-6 with a manule 4 speed and i want to swap the v-6 with a 76 350 that i took out of a car what all modifications and parts do i need to make the swap

Hi Johnathan... you will need clutch,pressure plate and release brg for 350 as well as flywheel and pilot brg. you will need bell housing for the 350 and starter. install 350 bell housing on your tranny, install flywheel and pilot brg and clutch assemb. on engine you will need frame mounts and end engine mounts for 350 install them on truck and engine. you will also need rad for the 350. you will need to make sure sensors in the 350 are the same as the ones in your V6. IE: temp sensor, oil pressure,etc. if your old ones for gauges or a light. install engine and set up...You will also need to get an oil pan for that 350 that is for a 4X4 as pan is differant as well as oil filter mount... hope this helps...
