Chevrolet Repair: Squealing a/c clutch on 1992 Silverado, clutch assembly, wd 40

Question
Hi my hubby has tried changing the belts, etc.. and still has a squealing noise when the motor first starts but after he drives it awhile it stops. Today he sprayed WD-40 on the a/c clutch and it stopped for awhile and then started again. Does he need to change this and how does he go about doing that? Thanks in advance :)

Answer
Hi trish.... there is a bolt in the centre of the ac clutch assembly. remove the belt then the bolt. the clutch should pull off the shaft... you may have to tap it...before you do that check the belt tensioner and make sure it has enough load that it's not really the belt squeeling... hope this helps
