Chevrolet Repair: squeaking 1999 chevy blazer, chevy blazer, squealers

Question
My 1999 Chevy Blazer (104,000 miles) is squeaking like crazy. The rear u-joint was just replaced and for two days after the replacement it didn't make a noise. Prior to the replacement of the u-joint there was an occasional squeak now it's all the time and it's driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Answer
Evidently the shop who replaced the u joint did not do the job correctlly.  Have them reinspect there work.  If that is not the problem your brakes could be on the squealers and you could be hearing the warning sign that your brake pads are worn out.  GOOOD LUCK
