Chevrolet Repair: 1997 chevy 1500 305, aftermarket air filter, 1997 chevy 1500

Question
I have a 97 chevy silverado this has been the best truck I have ever owned. Till recently- I have put all these parts on it-plugs,wires,distributor,converter,sensors,spider, injector-everything I am on my 6th mechanic and no Clue!! My truck goes down the road and randomly misfires- sometimes so bad you can hear the u-joints pop. The only code it is showing is random misfires-I have also replaced fuel pump and sending unit-what is is there?? I have now replaced every sensor on this truck I am at a total loss- compression on motor is good- what am I missing??

Answer
Most of the time random misfires that are intermittent are usually injectors dirty or defective. But, you say you replaced all the injectors. Were all the injectors replaced?

Can you isolate which cylinder is misfiring?

There is a recall regarding injectors sticking (99066F) Call the dealership and see if your vehicle falls under this campaign.

There's another bulletin regarding overly oiled aftermarket air filter causing MAF sensor damage and multiple driveability problems.

What is the code that is setting?
