Chevrolet Repair: ABS, wheel bearings, speed sensors

Question
Hi. The ABS light on my 2000 Chey Balzer 4x4 comes on as soon as I statr it and stays on. I just recently had the brakes done all the way around and they did not indicate any problem with it. I did have an accident last january and had some bumper damage which i had fixed at a collision shop and they said the damage was not far enough back to affect the ABS.I am wondering what the problem could possibly be? Thanks =)

Answer
Hi Denise, The most common part to go bad is the wheel speed sensors in  the front wheel bearing. If the wheel bearings are bad this can also cause the same problem. The wheel speed sensors bolt onto the wheel bearings and can be replaced separate from the wheel bearing.

Hope this helps
