Chrysler Repair: 04 Town and Country: no start/no starter, starter relay, starter motor

Question
My problem started with the heater blowing cold air all of a sudden.  The temperature hand went to C and stayed there.  We replaced the thermonstat and they took the distributor wires off to do that and after that when you crank the van it sounded OK  but when you put it in gear the check engine light would start blinking and the van would shake and sound funny. Then after a couple days it would not crank at all just kept turning over. the shop replaced the reset fuse and something kept blowing them. Now they say it won't even make a sound as an attempt to start.

Answer
Hi Pam,
What engine size do you have? I ask because I don't believe any engine in '04 had a distributor, unless it is a 3.0L. What exact fuses were replaced (#'s?). If the starter motor doesn't turn the engine then is the battery discharged, is the loud click of the solenoid heard, is the soft click of the starter relay heard or felt, is the trans in park/neutral?  If it is the shop that started out with the thermostat exchange hold them responsible for repairing the problems they apparently caused. Let me know the specifics or have the shop write me a question directly.
