Chrysler Repair: 99 Sebring convt. electrical intermittents, fog lamps, fog lamp


Question

1999 sebring convt jxi-vin #3c3el55h3xt530988 no fog lights no voltage at the sockets,headlight delay works all other functions of the multi switch woke, all the fuses under hood and inside car are good radio does not go on for about 10-15 min , sometimes it goes on right away,the self diagnosis on the CMTC module comes up CCD, NOT FAIL OR PASS,air bag light goes on every now and then,oil light now is on oil pres good
checked for lose wires bad grounds could the BCM module be causing the problems were else should i look

Hi Robert,
If the right low beam headlamp works, then it has to be the fog lamp switch or the violet/red wire from fuse 13 to the switch is no good, or the light blue wire from the switch to the fog lamps is open. So check for voltage at the switch on the violet/red and see if it shows on the light blue when you turn on the fog lamp switch.
I am not certain about the radio unless fuse 14 has an intermittent behavior due to a crack in its wire.
The oil light may either be the sender itself is inaccurate or the gray wire from pin 12 of the cluster is shorted to ground on the way to the sender which is located near the oil filter.
The ABS light may be an intermittent in the clockspring flexible connection between the steering column and the steering wheel.
