Chrysler Repair: error code P0520, powertrain control module pcm, powertrain control module


Question
I have a 2005 Jeep grand limited with the 5.7 75mi on car error show P0520 I reset by disconnecting BAT. will come back on after 2 eng starts. are the pressure switchs on the oil filter housing, I see 2 there or is it a relay problem

Flash: 5.7L Oil Pressure Warning Light May Illuminate
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control
Module (PCM) with new software.
MODELS:
2005 (WK / WH) Grand Cherokee
NOTE: This bulletin applies to all WK vehicles equipped with a 5.7L engine (sales
code EZB). For WH (Graz built) vehicles equipped with a 5.7L engine (sales
code EZB), this bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to June 17, 2005 (MDH
0617XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The following enhancements are included with this software:
· Correction to engine oil pressure monitor when decelerating.
The vehicle operator may experience a momentary illumination of the instrument cluster oil
pressure warning light. The oil pressure warning light illuminations will occur when the
vehicle service brake is applied during a high (rapid) deceleration driving maneuver. When
the instrument cluster oil pressure warning light illuminates, a warning chime will also
occur.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN®) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures Manual,
verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are present record them on
the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If a vehicle is in for service perform the Repair Procedure.
