Chrysler Repair: Blower motor resistor, blower motor resistor, negative cable

Where is the blower motor resistor on a 96 jeep xj?

Answer
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the kick cover from the heater-A/C housing as described in this group.
Pull out on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector lock to release the connector latch Blower Motor Resistor Remove/Install
Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and unplug it from the resistor.
Remove the two screws that secure the resistor to the heater-A/C housing.
Remove the resistor from the housing.
Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the mounting screws to 2.2 N·m (20 in lbs.)
