Chrysler Repair: shifting- transmission, 2 quarts, chrysler town

Question
Hello my name is Valerie. I have a 1997 Chrysler town & country van and its making a noise as if the door is open or either a seat belt is not connected which is (false). So I had someone to check my fuse and it was one that stop the noise, but if the fuse is out then my gauge light or speedometer won't work. So therefore its plugged back up. Next, all of a sudden my speedometer is not working at all, now my transmission is not changing into gear(automatic)I had my fluid check and was told that its 2 quarts over so that been released. So now I'm out of clues what next, do you have any suggestions for me. I did notice that where i pull my gear down into drive the digital box is not moving at all and its a word that says (TRAC OFF)appears up there that could be a problem too but I'm not sure. So could you please help any advice will do. Thank You!

Answer
It sounds like there is a problem in the bus data link circuit. This can be a nightmare for a small shop. Chrysler has a special scanner for this problem which will pinpoint the location of the break(s). The best advice I can give on this problem is to have it checked by the dealer. This is deffinitely not something you want to hand over to a general mech. or a DIY'er.
