Chrysler Repair: 2.7L timing chain install, cam sprockets, timing chain

Question
QUESTION: I replaced the timing chain on my intrepid. I have the camshafts set properly, with 12 pins between them at 90 degrees and tdc ,according to the manual. My problem is, with them lined up, there is no way to line the timing chain links up with their mark. How do I get the camshaft chain and the timing chain all lined up at once?

ANSWER: Hi Mike,
My understanding is that the 12 pin positioning is for the secondary chains only, but after you have that established as shown, the main timing chain is lined up to the secondary chains via marked links on that main timing chain and the marks on the cam sprockets and pin at the oil pump. You disregard the secondary chain marks in otherwords.
I can xerox the pages from the '98  or the '03 manual that describes the whole procedure for the timing chain which is more detailed than I can tell you. Let me know a postal mailing address and I will sent them.

QUESTION: I can email you a copy of the manual, it's in pdf format. It shows all pictures and details

Answer
Hi Mike,
I don't need a manual, thanks. So what is the problem? As I explained, as I read it, the 12 pin set-up is to relate the intake and exhaust cam shafts. But once you have done that, it seems to me that the main timing chain is what you have to align to the intake sprockets without regard to the 90 degree issue, etc. Maybe I am missing the point of your question?
