Chrysler Repair: Thermostat location, engine oil pressure, radiator hose

Question
Where would the thermostate on a Chrysler 2000 LHs be at?  Is it on top of the engine or the bottom?

Answer
Hi Robert,
You didn't mention which engine you have but I suspect you have the 3.2/3.5L whose thermostat housing is located where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine. So follow that lower hose and you will find the housing. You will want to remove the wiring from the power steering pressure and the engine oil pressure switches, after lifting the front end, draining the cooling system, and removing the two hoses at the housing. There is a special funnel for refilling the parts of the overflow bottle that you may want to obtain for refilling.
