Answer
Being a new car, it's hard to predict everything, but if you go with a direct fit exhaust, like Flowmaster, Borla, Dynamax, etc that is designed for that car you shouldn't have any problems and install should be a snap. On a lot of the Chrysler vehicles, they say not to remove the cat, that it can actually hurt performance. A high flow cat though can help.

I don't see you having any negative performance problems, the only thing you want to keep in mind, is that Chrysler is know for decent exhaust systems. The 98/99 Dodge Neon R/t for example, had a great exhaust system on it. It wasn't advised to upgrade it until you were into stage 2 performance upgrades.

You may want to ask around on some Dodge forums to see what others are doing and talking about and recommend. Another awesome site for Mopars is Allpar.com  They are the most thorough site I have ever found for Mopar in from stock to modified!

Good luck!
