Chrysler Repair: 1993 plymouth voyager:radio installation, amp fuse, plymouth voyager

Question
my 1993 voyager radio would not work.  i went and bought a wire harness and a new stereo.  i hooked them up and my new stereo still dosent work. i replaced all the fuses in the voyager but still no luck. can you help me out with this problem.

Answer
Hi Jeremy,
You didn't say if you are getting power but I suspect not. The Chrysler wiring is as follows:
red/white has 12v when you have the key in the "run" position and comes from a 10 amp fuse in position 6 of the fuse box. pink is a 12v all the time for maintaining the preset buttons. yellow/black is for lighting the dial when the headlamps are off and orange/white is for when the headlamps are "on" to give the proper dimming.
The grounding for the system is by a mesh wire that attaches to the dash board support structure, there is no separate ground wire in the harness.
Let me know what your radio is doing and how you have wired it.
