Chrysler Repair: Lights, chrysler labaron, low beams

Question
I have a 1992 Chrysler Labaron convertable.
I'm having a problem with the head lights.
I have no dim lights. The only way to get dim lights is to disconnect the high beams, and when you click to low beams I have no lights at all.
I have changed the lights, dimmer switch, and checked the fuses.Do you have any sugestions to what I can do to fix the problem.

Answer
Hi Jeff,
The headlamp circuit also involves 2 relays, one for the high and one for the low beams. They are located in the relay block which is an array located just to the left of your shin when in the driver's seat, above what is called the kick panel. Take a flashlight and look up from the floor for it. The two relays are in the top row of the block, the 2nd and 3rd from the the front one (which is for the parking lights). I would try interchanging the two relays and see if then you have reversed the problem to being dims but no brights. If that is the case then the relay that was in the 2nd position originally is bad. If that doesn't happen/doesn't fix it, let me know. But I only have today to deal with your problem because I'm on vacation for 6 days starting tomorrow.
