Question
Hi can you please help  me?
I have just re-wired my  1949 cadillac 2dr sednette, but in doing this i have knocked off the vaccuum pipes behind the dash, washer bottle and wiper motor, and I am an able to work out what goes where?
I live in the UK so I am unable to ask anybody?

Answer
First, my congratulations on having one of the most beautiful cars of the era!

The hoses bring vacuum from the booster pump (part of the fuel pump) to the wiper control, and from the control to the wiper motor.  Since you also have the accessory windshield washers, I assume there is a "TEE" in the vaccum supply line (from the vacuum booster pump) which also goes to the washer control, and then another line from there to the washer bottle under the hood (bonnet?).  If you also have the rear wiper accessory, there will be a "TEE" in the line from the wiper control for the additional hose back to the rear wiper.

This is really not very complicated - the wiper control acts as a variable restrictive orifice in the supply lines for the wiper motor, and the washer control simply routes vacuum to the washer bottle to recharge the piston so it can produce a stream of fluid when called upon to do that.

I hope this is of some help - I do not have access to a detailed tubing diagram, but my 1948 Packard has a similar system and I'm sure the connections are similar.  By the way, if you have a vacuum powered radio antenna, there will also be a switch and vacuum lines associated with that, "TEE"d into the line from the booster pump.

Good luck with your beautiful car!
