Eagle Repair: 1994 talon fwd transmission, torque converter, rear seal

Question
I recently needed to change the main rear seal on my 1.8L eagle talon. When I put the transmission back in and started the car the transmission was in limp in mode. My question is does the torque converter need to be filled with fluid before it is installed? I drained all of the fluids out since they needed changed. All of the connections are right (electrical and such) but it just won't come out of limp in mode. I've never owned a car that I couldn't fix but I am at a loss with this one!

Answer
Access the vehicles computer and see if any codes are present and delete them

Or you can pull the computer fuse(s) with the engine OFF and the ignition OFF and this should resolve your problem. You can also try disconnecting the battery to reset the computer and then drive the vehicle for several miles to give the computer a chance to RE-LEARN the transmission settings.
