Ford Repair: 1999 Mustang GT-Rear Brakes, rear brakes, mustang gt

Question
I have been doing brake jobs for years. When i removed the calipers to replace the rear pads, i of course got a C clamp to compress the piston into the caliper so the new pads would fit. Except the pistons don't move. Am I missing something ? Do I need to unscrew the brake lines and completely bleed the lines. There is no way the pads fit on unless the piston is compressed. Thanks for the help.

The rear calipers won't retract with a C clamp like the fronts do.  You'll have to screw them back into place.  If you're particularly inventive you can do this with common hand tools, but I recommend buying a specific ratchet attachment for the job.  they usually cost around $10 at the parts store.  Hope this helps.
