Ford Repair: 98 ford winstar gl, ford winstar, floor vents

Question

#5-you don't indicate what the rear ac is not doing. Is it hot all the time? Does the rear blower work? Doesn't get cold? Blows out the floor vents always?

I NEVER guess, Jim, but I usually need to know what someone means when they say "AC doesn't work."

SOMETIMES THE REAR AIR WORKS ,IT DOESNT BLOW BUT SOMETIME IT WILL BLOW, BUT THE FRONT AIR ALWAYS WORKS AND BLOWS FINE,IS THERE A DIFFERENT BLOWER FOR THAT REAR AIR? BUT WHEN IT DOES BLOW FROM THE REAR IT IS COLD ,
THANX AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP!

Answer
Yes, the front and rear have separate switches, motors, controls. The rear even has it's own blower resistor. With out testing this myself, your problem could be in the switch, resistor, wiring, even a bad spot in the motor could cause it not to work if it stops at the bad spot in the commutator.
