Hyundai Repair: Busted water cap, bumper to bumper warranty, purchase paperwork

Question
does my vehicle have a manufacturer warranty? 2005 Hyundai Accent mileage 65000 miles purchased 2008? I was told that it would cost an estimated $2000 plus? Pls advice . and where would I be able to find the warranty if there is any?

Answer
Hi. Mary Lou.  As you're the second owner of the vehicle, the powertrain warranty is the same as the bumper-to-bumper warranty, which is 5 years/60,000 miles.  Since your car has 65,000 miles, the manufacturer's warranty has expired.

If you purchased your car from a dealer, you may have purchased an additional warranty at that time.  So if you're unsure, check your paperwork from the time of purchase.  If you cannot find it, contact the dealer where you purchased the vehicle.  If you purchased an additional warranty contract, it should be with your purchase paperwork, and the dealer from which you purchased should be able to provide this information.  Whether such a warranty would cover these repairs will depend on the coverage of the particular warranty.  As there are many warranty contracts available for purchase, it's impossible for me to say whether any contract you might have would cover this repair.
