Hyundai Repair: radiator, rad cap, drain valve

Question
my radiator was leaking small amount of coolant from somewhere under rad when sitting cold a couple of days. I removed rad cap then all coolant drained out from rad when cap opened. I can' t tell exactly where its draining from, but it seems to be above the drain valve?

Answer
The only way to be certain where the coolant is coming from is to visually observe the area of the leak.  From your description, it's possible the drain valve is missing or broken.  If so, you can probably just replace the drain valve.  Otherwise, if it's coming out of any portion of the radiator itself, you'll need a new radiator.

Of course, coolant can leak form any other part of the system as well: hoses, water pump, thermostat gasket, etc.
