Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Elantra power window regulator repair, hyundai elantra, power window regulator

Question
I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra.  So far I have replaced 2 window regulators by myself this year.  The 3rd one just broke (the 4th and last one may break soon) and I don't want to spend much money on it. They all broke at the same weakest spot the white plastic pieces.  How can I repair this myself and save $250 on a new part. If this can't be done I'd like to keep this window (left rear) shut all the time and dont fix it and save $250.  Any advise.  Thanks,

Answer
Hello Paul,
That plastic cable guide is a part of the regulator and welded on. You can not repair it. If you want to keep that window closed , route regulator cable from top of the door panel and bring it down to one of the regulator holding nuts and tighten that cable under the nut. That will keep the window closed. Do not forget to unplug the motor's connector befire you reinstall the door panel.
