Hyundai Repair: NO COMMUNICATION, hyundai santa fe, santa fe 2

2001 HYUNDAI SANTA FE .2.7L.CAN'T COMMUNICATE WITH THE COMPUTER USING SNAP ON SCANNER..EVEN IN GENERIC MODE..HAD A BAD CKP SENSOR THAT WAS REPLACED...HAS NEW TUNE UP AND TRANSMISSION..PUT A USED COMPUTER IN IT AND STILL CANT COMMUNICATE...I CLEAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.. DRIVE IT FOR 10-14 MILES THEN IT POPS BACK ON...MITCHELL ONE HAD WRONG DIAGRAMS FOR IT...HELP!

Most communication issues are due to programming issues with the scan tool, not the computer.  I'd recommend stopping by AAMCO or AutoZone to see if they're able to read the codes.  Both those places have advertised they'll read your trouble codes for no charge.
