Answer
Hi, Robert.  Hyundai has a very good technical service bulletin regarding this issue and its diagnosis and repair.  If you don't have one already, register for a free account at www.hmaservice.com (requires Internet Explorer).  Once logged in, enter your year and model and select TSB 05-40-006-2.  The site is a little tricky to navigate, so if you have any problems, follow-up.

Basically, the TSB indicates that your problem may be a shorted wire, defective solenoid, crank sensor, or internal transmission issue, and gives a procedure to follow for diagnosis.  If you have any questions about the TSB (or anything else), please do follow-up.
