Hyundai Repair: 03 tiburon V6 2.7 Misfiring, cylinder number, cylinder misfire

Question
Hi My engine is Misfiring and i don't know why. My freind has a code reader and it came up with two codes P0306, P0262. From what i can guest is the ignition coil maybe.

Answer
P0306 indicates a misfire on cylinder number six, which is located on the transmission end of the front of the engine.

P0262 indicates a circuit problem with the number one injector.  I find it odd that you have this code but not a P0301 for a number one cylinder misfire.  Cylinder number one is on the drive belt end of the back bank.

I'd recommend checking the plugs, wires, and coil well, along with the injector wiring for cylinder number one.  You'll be primarily interested in the plugs and wires on the front bank, so I wouldn't immediately lift the plenum to do that.  But you may need to lift the plenum to check the injector circuit.  For checking the injector circuit, I'd recommend to start with checking the injector resistance.  Based on the code, I primarily suspect the injector may be shorted.
