Jaguar Repair: HORN ROD, jaguar xj 6, jaguar xj

1985 Jaguar XJ-6. Horn rod is bowed and will not go into shaft centering bracket.  Having difficult time finding replacement rod because Jaguar discontinued production and/or stocking.  Any experience on straightening rod or suggestions on securing new replacement. Thank you.

Hi Dan,

As I remember it is a tube, not a rod. Is that correct? It is more difficult to straighten a tube then a rod. Look on the net for used Jag parts and try Engel Imports on the net. In the mean time I will look through my junk to see if I have one.
