Jaguar Repair: Bad Door lock solenoid?, fuse panel, door hinge

Question
Hi: This might be similar to a question you've already addressed, but my key won't unlock the driver's side door ('87 XJ6) so no solenoid action. I have to unlock the passenger side then reach across to unlock the driver's from the inside. The key will lock the driver's side, but I don't hear the old familiar chunk of any solenoids working (passenger's doesn't lock either, except manually any more) The car was out in the heat 95+ and very hot inside - I wonder if the door-lock thermal sensor melted or not? Should I check that first, before digging into side panel and looking at door stuff? The car has the German Keikerk type
solendoids. Thanks very much, Howard

Answer
There is one thermal breaker just to the right of the Aux fuse panel. Also there are two relays, one in each door hinge area. Also the trigger unit (driver's door unit) is fused by #17 fuse in the Aux fuse panel.
All of this is applied to the US version of the earlier Ser III Jag with solenoids. The 87 Ser III XJ-6 in the US had door lock motors.
