Jeep Repair: 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee - electical issue, jeep grand cherokee, grand cherokee

Question
I have the weirdest electrical issue going on with my Jeep.  Sometimes all the indicator lights come on and all gauges have no reading.  When this happens my power windows will not go down, and sometimes my ac does not work (will blow air, but not cool).  Sometimes if you push the power door locks this may cause some of the gauges to work, indicator lights to go off and ac to come on.  Also, the center console (the compass and tstat) shows that the driver's side door is not closed eventhough it is.  If you can get the driver's side window to go down then it clears the door open sign and turns off the dome light.

None of the above problems work if the key is turned to the auxillary position on the ingination, which leads me to belive it not truly an electrical issue.  Also if I unhook the battery cable and leave it off for about 5 mins, everything will reset and I will not have any problems for the next day or two.

I have took the Jeep into my local dealer to find out what the problem is, but after 3 hours of diagnosis work(ad $400), they still can't find the problem (thought they fixed it by replacing a ground wire but didn't).

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Answer
Open the pass door there is a rubber boot there. Peal back the boot and disconnect the white connector there from the door.

What is happening is the pass door module is wigging out when running its on the same bus network as all the other computers that U are experiencing not working.

Unplug the one that is causing it and then everything else will work.

U will need to replace the pass door module and reprogram the keyless entry fobs once replaced.
