Land Rover Repair: 00 LR Disc II Spitting/Sputtering, mass air flow sensors, air flow sensors

I have a 2000 LR Disc II that was bought used about 2 years ago.  A few months back it starting spitting and sputtering and losing all power over 10mph.  Wound up being the Massive Air Flow Sensor and the air filter.  That fixed it but now it's back to spitting and sputtering as soon as I hit the gas...It hasn't lost power yet.  I checked the air filter, it seems fine.  I don't know what else to look at or for. (I use regular unleaded gas, I didn't know LR preferred high octane.)

Mass air flow sensors do cause that problem.  Was the one you fitted used, or non-Land Rover?  Perhaps it's no good.  Are the plugs and wires good?  What fault codes are stored in the computer memory?  If the truck is bucking and sputtering it's going to be setting fault codes in the computer.  What are they?
