Hi John, do you know a ballpark on how much it will cost me to repair a 94 Landy Disco Manual transmission?  I'd be interested in ideas about new and used transmissions for this old bum of a car.

It is a day's job to change a transmission.  So plan on a day's time at whatever rates prevail in your area.  Call local salvage yards to get prices fo rused gearboxes.  If you are pulling the gearbox I'd suggest pricing a clutch, too.  When the gearbox is out it will take 2 more hours to swap the clutch and clean up the flywheel
