Land Rover Repair: transmission chudder, range rover hse, 2003 range rover hse

2003 hse   Hey John how are you doing? My 2003 range rover hse has 175 k on the odometer. Lately i been noticing a shaking or chudder when shifting from first to second. It used to happen infrequently but now happens almost every time a drive it. Is there anything that may need to be replaced or is the whole tranny at the end of its lifespan? thanks for your time.

My guess is, the transmission is near the end of it useful life.  Any diagnostics of that system will require specialist LR test gear, but frankly there is nothing to adjust and little to repair outside an overhaul for symptoms like that.  I trust you checked for loose stuff like axles, right?  Outside that there is not much you can do.  Fresh fluid could help, but it could also push it over the edge - I've seen both things happen
