Land Rover Repair: 96 LR Discovery, subwoofer wiring, position sensors

Question
I have a subwoofer in 96 LR V8 Petrol....wire got cut by chair so i replaced the wire to fix subwoofer.  Need car running for subwoofer to work so proceeded to start the car.  All fine, car started and ran and subwoofer worked also.  Went inside, got up the next morning to go to work, car started then cut out before getting out of driveway. Attempted to start again but would not start. The car is cranking over with plenty of spark just wont start.  I have replaced the coil and ignition module. As was told these were common problems with this model. I have checked all fuses, fuel cutoff switch, relays, even changed battery in keypad, smell of fuel is prominent, plenty of spark....at a loss dont know what else to do!!please help!!

Answer
I think the subwoofer wiring probably has nothing to do with the failure to start.

Rather that change parts, I think you need to go back to basics.  Does the vehicle have spark at the plus?  If not, trace the ignition.  Does it have fuel pressure?  If not, check the fuel system.  Is it missing both spark and fuel?  Check the ECU circuits and the crank and cam position sensors.

I think that will be your fastest path to solution
