Land Rover Repair: 2006 Rover sport, diagnostic system, rover sport

Question
Hi John,
I trying to diagnose a L/S suspension dropping issue. I sprayed both bags on the L/S out of the car(pressurized of course)and find no bubbles. Sprayed at the pump and canister, nothing. Sprayeds the hoses on top of bags, nothing. Yet when the car sits in any lift mode, the vehicle drops on the left side front and rear. There are no fault codes and suspeneion appears to work properly while the vehicle is in use. It usually takes a couple of hours for it to drop. Is there any common problem causing this?

Answer
Usually the problem is in one of the areas you have tested.  So did you fail to find the leak, or is it elsewhere?  I cannot know from here.  If the car were at our shop we'd rely on the factory diagnostic system to read the live data; that could give us insight beyond what you can get spraying and watching.  Also, we would do that test on a drive on lift, where we could look under it as it sat in a normal stance
