Land Rover Repair: 96 4.6 HSE sagging backend, range rover club, diags

Question
Hello Dennis, I'm new to the Range Rover club with my 1st one just purchased, a 4.6 HSE.  Its worked out fine with no typical problems occurring.  Well as expected my first problem... suspension.  I've found the truck now for a couple of days with the back end sagged.  It seems to right it self after starting and driving off.  There are no errors reported.  So, letting the truck sit for a few hours the bottom end then hits the floor again.  Where should I start?  I want to be armed with some info before I take it to Rover for diags of the EAS.  Your guidance is appreciated.

Answer
Congrats on your new purchase Ed!

It sounds like you need new airsprings, they are rubber and only last so many years before they start to leak.  Since it comes up quickly the rest is probably good, but replace the springs before you wear out your compressor.  If there are no faults showing on the dash you don't need a plug-in diagnostic.
