I let my deisel run really low yesterday which i am quite bad for doing,I finally got to the petrol station and put £50 in. Today whilst on the school run i tried to overtake on the dual carrage way and the car lost power and started to slow, the dash flashed, 'engine system fault'.
I pulled over and turned the engine off and waited a few minutes then started up and it drove ok.
I went to the petrol station and bought some redex engine cleaner and topped up with petrol but its done it twice more. please help is it the deisel running low or could it be some thing else?

Hi Toni,

not sure what the problem is.  Could be filter problem but your best bet is to have it checked at a local garage. It may not be related to how low your diesel was the other day.  A good garage will make sure the fuel pressure is good.
