Honda: cold air induction, air induction system, cold air induction

Question
is there an increase in h.p. with the installation of cold air induction system on 04 s2000. outside air is taken in from above the radiator so that engine air is not heated by engine

Answer
Hate to say it Bill, but the S2000 is about the most unfriendly car there is as far as modifications go.  You will get a different sound, and maybe "feel" like you've got more power.  Some people have reported power loss with a cold-air intake.  What I did was bought a replacement filter from Comptech USA.  If there are no performance gains, you still have a part that last longer than the car will.  You can do something for free.  There is a hole in the air filter box (in the shape of a square), that, if plugged up, will give you a deeper sound.
Facing the rear of the car, reach under the paper filter, and into the air-box.  To the right, and in the bottom corner, you will find this hole.  Get some cardboard or plastic and plug up the hole.
All-in-all, I'd say don't get an itake, but feel free to do some more research at www.s2ki.com
