Land Rover Repair: ABS, discovery series ii, wheel sensors

Question
I have a 2000 Landrovey Discovery Series II and recently took it to a dealer to change a rotor as well as both rear seals.
As soon as I drove out of the dealership all 3 lights (ABS/TC/DHC) came on and stayed on. I returned it immediately and they tried to tell me that the recent repairs had nothing to do with the lights, I left the car at the dealership and it has been there for the lat 6 days. They cant seem to be able to find out wahat the problem is and told me that when they put it on the computer there seem to be multiple faults (around 10). This is my first Landrover and do not understand what could be so complicated.
Please help.

Answer
Hi N.

the truth be told, ABS, TC and HDC are related indirectly to the brakes.  SO.. any repairs to pads or rotors could affect these components.  They are trying to avoid repairing something they may have broke.

The '3 amigos', as I call them, is a nasty problem for series II Disco's.  Very difficult to locate and often expensive to repair.   Since they worked on the brakes, it could be the wheel sensors that are faulted.

The ABS system is very complicated and sensitive.  I hope they can isolate the problem for you.

Best of luck,
