Land Rover Repair: Abs or brakes 97 disco 1 135000 miles, land rover specialist, fuse box

Question
hello john
well this is my problem.anti lock light is on
i was driving on the highway with (ac on) and try to slow down when a apply brakes the pedal when all the way down very scary but a start to pump the brakes and it seem to build back up a bit. so i got off and turn the ac off and it seem the brake are normal again. turn the ac on and the brakes when soft again. whats the problem here? i when under the pass side and remove a green box (amr 6428 which has (ABS) on it). i tap it and the turn singal started to blink, tap it again and the doors unlock whats the deal with that.then it wont stop for a while but finally did. i am stomp at this, is this green box the abs control box and causing the abs to fail causing the brakes to fail or is it something else.this is the first time this happen.also the rear driver side tail is not working that comes on and off too.
thanks for any help

Answer
My feeling is that you may have a power problem in your truck. If the ABS pump loses power the brakes will go to the floor as you describe.

You might have water leaking into the fuse box and corroding it, or something completely different.

You will need a Land Rover specialist to check this out - someone with an Autologic or T4.
