Land Rover Repair: SRS light, responed, ecu

Dealer responed to SRS light with information that SRS DCU / ECU was not communicating - bought one used - need to replace - where is it - and any power down requirements.  Is the module VIN coded (said dealer).

I just answered this question for ABS ecu.  Are they both not communicating?

If so, you most likely have wiring trouble.

You can't work on the SRS without the LR test system.  It's a waste of time to swap the SRS ecu because nothing will happen unles you connect the test system.  You won't know if your efforts accomplished anything
