Land Rover Repair: 2000 Disco II Cutting Out, vacuum pipes, home remedy

My 2000 Disco II is Cutting Out when idling with the AC on. Does not completly stop just cuts in and out but stops if you turn the AC off. Also AC on passenger side does not blow cold like driver side. Thanks

It sounds like the engine control unit is not stepping up the idle when the AC compressor kicks in, or possibly the AC compressor is very tight - almost seized.

I suggest connecting the Land Rover test system and checking the idle control system.  Look at the live data and see what's happening.

As a home remedy you could try cleaning the throttle body, and checking all the vacuum pipes.  That can't hurt and could help.
