Land Rover Repair: Need Service, centrifugal filter, labour costs

Question
I have an appointment for a 60,000 mile scheduled service tomorrow.  I was told it will cost $960.00.  My car runs fine, has no issues, and has had no issues.  I have a 100,000 mile warranty.  My husband thinks this service is a racket...spend a grand to replace things that aren't broken.  I worry that something will go, soon, and I will be out the grand plus the tow, the stress and the anxiety.  Should I get this service?  Is it worth the money?

Answer
The 60000 service is the "biggest" service. They have to change all the oils (front, rear differential, transmission, transfer box) and all the filter elements (air, fuel, oil)

What vehicle is this exactly? If 300 tdi or 200 tdi, then the timing belt must be changed too. If TD5, there is a centrifugal filter. If V8 there are 8 spark plugs.

So, these things can cost so much. I don't know in your country how big the material and the labour costs, but in Hungary we can do it about 4-500 dollars, and we are a cheap country...

So, if that a factory certified garage I think that price can be reasonable (in a more expensive country)

If you send the exact details of the car i Can send you the service list.
