Lincoln/Mercury Repair: spark plug wire stuck, Broken spark plug boot

Question
we went to replace the spark plug wires on my 1995 continental. the #2 plug wire broke off & we cant remove it. what do you have to use 2 remove the boot from the plug? we cant get in there with needle nose pliers because its too far into the head to get to it. any other suggestions?

Answer
If it were me, I'd use a hand held torches and put some heat on the boot.....maybe even let it burn a bit. You may still need at least a cheap pair of long needlenose pliers to fish out the remains, but that should get it out anyway.

BTW, make sure to put a dab of dielectric grease on the tips of the plugs when installing the plug wires and you won't have to deal with this again.
