QUESTION: Thaks for getting back so quickly, sorry a daft question but what do you mean by Mazda/Japan card? I have been looking at OBDII readers on ebay but not seen any with reference to cards...Can you provide an example? ebay link to one that would work?

thank you

Answer
You may be able to find a generic scanner that will read Japanese makes.  The Mazda scanner we use is flash card specific for a range of year model.  Some high end common scanners (Snap On) have flash cards for different makes, ie: Mazda, Nissan or a general one for Japanese, German etc. etc.
