Subaru Repair: Speedometer Cable, speedometer cable, subaru legacy

I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy Stationwagon, and my speedometer and odometer do not work. I had a friend replace my clutch last year and since then it does not work. I was wondering if there is a cable or plug that may be undone? If so, where is that cable located?

Hi Sara,

You have a speed sensor at the transmission that may be disconnected but you would also have a check engine light on as well if it is in fact disconnected.  The speed sensor is located on the passenger side of the front differential.
