Mazda Repair: Horn Button Problem, clock spring, phillips head

Question
1991 Miata. Horn buttons are erratic, sometimes they work, sometimes one works, sometimes neither works. I don't want to  get into the airbag or have to disassemble the steering wheel, so I have installed a simple button on the console, grounded one side, and am trying to find the horn wire under the dash that comes from the steering wheel so I can tie the other wire into it. There are several harnesses coming from the wheel, how can I find the wire I'm looking for. Its solid green at the horn, but can't see one like it under the dash. Any one have any ideas? Bill

Answer
that wiring harness is built into the clock spring harness, i would remove the airbag,  its not that bad, just disconnect the neg battery cable, un-bolt the 10mm bolts behind the steering wheel, disconnect the 2 connectors, blue and orange, set aside the airbag,  you might find the ground wire to the horn has a loose connection, think it was only grounded with a small phillips head screw
